At the end of December 2024, Karl Bucher will step down as owner and managing director after 36 years and hand over the company to his son Christoph.
As a visionary, Kari constantly invested in new technologies and developed the company further. He always found a solution and motivated the team to develop a feasible variant and convince with technical expertise. This is how the name ‘Karl Bucher AG’ became a brand and spread all over the world. The high-quality carpentry work adorns elegant villas, exclusive shops or sophisticated business premises and restaurants from central Switzerland to 5th Avenue in New York.
After Karl Bucher took over his parents' carpentry business in 1988, he achieved great things and turned the small sole proprietorship into a public limited company with a workforce of 60 permanent employees.
His son Christoph has big shoes to fill. But with the great commitment that Christoph brings with him, as well as the full support of the entire workforce, we are convinced that the success story of Karl Bucher AG will continue and still has many exciting chapters to offer! Kari will also remain available to the company for some time as Chairman of the Board of Directors and will continue to contribute his experience.
